Misty Krueger, Assistant Professor of English at the University of Maine at Farmington delighted her JASNA Maine audience Saturday with a talk entitled “The Adventures of a JASNA International Visitor”.

Dr. Krueger told us of the six month long, detailed application process, but when she was accepted, she became the Jane Austen Society of North America’s International Visitor.  In that role she conducted research at Chawton House Library, Jane Austen’s House Museum, and the Hampshire Records Office. Professor Krueger told of her visits to all four of Jane Austen’s homes, enjoying the quiet solitude that seemed to flow from these homes and museums. She felt like an explorer as she traced the trail of Jane Austen’s short life.
